Is it free for doctors to be listed?
Yes. The free tier lets any verified physician claim their listing and accept patient consultation requests at no cost. Paid tiers ($49 / $99 / $499 per month) unlock more photos, full lead inbox, search-priority placement, and analytics.
Is it free for patients?
Yes. The Doctor Directory is 100% free for patients. We never charge to search, view profiles, read reviews, or submit consultation requests. Doctors pay optionally for marketing tools; patient access is always free.
How do paid plans rank doctors higher in search?
Each plan has a transparent visibility weight: Free 100, Premium 200, Elite 300, Sponsor 400. This weight is one factor in the ranking algorithm; patient ratings, review volume, and verified status remain independent factors. A free listing with strong reviews can outrank a paid listing with poor reviews.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Log into your dashboard at /my-listing, open the Billing tab, click Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Your listing reverts to free; profile, reviews, and leads remain in place.
How is billing handled?
All paid plans are billed monthly through Square. No setup fee. No long-term contract. Cancel anytime through your dashboard.
What happens if I don't claim my listing?
Your profile remains visible (sourced from the public NPI Registry) but has no Verified badge, no photos beyond a default, no patient response capability, and ranks lower than claimed listings in search. Patient consultation requests still go to a generic catch-all - which means you may miss them entirely.
